Happy Mad Men Season 4 Day!

I've come out of my self-imposed exile to celebrate the Season 4 premiere of Mad Men. I know you're as excited as I am. Here's what I've been doing instead of blogging:

Okay, not sailing so much as cleaning the brightwork while she is docked.

Hanging out at the beach with my boyfriend, James Bond:

Making my dishes sparkling clean while smelling like a garden using this:

geranium

Having an Apple a day:

Day One

Day Two

Attending my hairdresser's drag show at the Purple Parrot:

Oh, hell yes, she is fine...

Occasionally working at my friend's store so I can be surrounded by beautiful!! things:

Deanna Wish Designs

Contemplating life's big questions:

1) Who the hell is Joy Bryant anyway and why should I care?

2) What is wrong with people who back into parking spaces?

3) Vinegar or ketchup? (Vinegar, definitely.)

3) Why is The Big Lebowski funny? Or John Goodman in general?

4) Does anybody really know what time it is; does anybody really care?

But mostly, I have been wildly anticipating Don Draper and the gang coming back into my life.

Hope you're having a fab summer. xo

Vinegar! Malt vinegar! Yum. May have to go and locate some fish and chips soon.

Missed you and happy that you're back with news of the Mad Men. We don't have cable - I hope I can watch online.

Pretty quiet around here. Nothing from the truck people since I abandoned one of their trucks in Iowa in the middle of a blizzard. Broke my ankle a few weeks ago and instead of gardening I have to content myself with much gesturing and pointing for the poor husband...man is really a saint for putting up with my disabled ass.

Glad you're enjoying! We're fans of Mrs. Meyer's Geranium here as well.

Just FYI, not that you actually care: I back into parking spaces if I'm the only one around at that moment. It's always easier to see other people when you're going forward, and there might be other people around when I'm leaving. This is especially true if I'm in a parking lot where there might be little kids around.

I have often wondered about the answer to number 2 as well...

Why DO people back into parking spaces? Just to piss me off!

Thrashers!! East Coast?? You can't put ketchup on Thrashers, sacrilege!

ps. I back in for personal safety reasons -- when it's a shady parking garage/lot or late at night, so I can make a quick exit and see my driver's side door clearly when walking up to it. Walking around a car to the front at 11pm at night can be dangerous for a single girl. Just saying, better safe than sorry.
