Rehoboth Beach Designer Show House

Here's a sneak peak of my sponsor Boxwood Home's bedroom at the Show House which is located at 10 Fourth Street in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. The Show House actually started last weekend and runs for the next two weekends - Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10 am - 4 pm. Tickets are available for $25 at the Show House which benefits the VIA (Village Improvement Assn.).

Everybody who's anybody is coming. Traditional Home magazine was there and Southern Living. Big news for our little town. Hope to see you there. And, trust me, that photo does not do justice to the gorgeous!! Legacy Linens on that bed.

This is on the other wall:

It's soooooo good. If you mention that you saw this post, you qualify for a 20% discount on anything in the store or online here and use the code showhouse 12 for your 20% off!

(Sorry, if you rec'd this multiple times - I haven't seen this new blogger format & I whiffed everything!)

Power To The Real Women.

Not her.

Or her.

Or her.
Or her.

But to the "British Anti-Cosmetic Surgery League" of Kate Winslet:

Rachel Weisz,

Yeah, fuck you, Rachel Weisz. :-)

I'm sure she's a honorary member:

Flower Power.

Oh, yes, I changed the headline...

I love this girl's style. She has a blog, Emerson Made, which I discovered via Material Girls blog.

She creates handmade, hand-dyed blossoms to add a little something sassy to a sweater, wedding dress or tee shirt. I love it.

The Big Dandy linen clutch, available here.

Ungloom Bloom: "Maybe you know someone who's been
temporarily clobbered by life..." Wouldn't they love this?
(Although I feel the need to insert another comma... :-)

And her blog is clever, too. Make a new friend today.

The King and I You.

It's Elvis' birthday today and I know you are all wondering how you can celebrate, so I've put together a few ideas.

If you cannot manage a quick flight over to Graceland in Memphis on such short notice, you can stay home and make fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches in Elvis' likeness.

Rent "Viva Las Vegas" and pretend you are Ann-Margret. Consider hyphenating your first and middle names and just deleting your last name.

Spray paint your Caddy gold.

You could go all out and get your hunka-hunka-burnin'-love over to the Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel for your very own Doo Wop Wedding. Or you can begin your bedroom redo based on the specialness that is the Elvis and Priscilla Suite at the VLV Hotel:

Doesn't it look like a "While You Were Out" project?

Or you could call in sick and watch Elvis movies on TCM. Or click on this YouTube video of the Elvis '68 comeback special:

Nobody rocked the sideburns (and black leather) like the King, baby. Nobody.

Deer-gasm.

I can't take it. These are so bee-yoo-tee-ful. As the kids say, "O.M.G." You know my affinity for deer. And these are just...(no words)...
And now for my favorite:
I saw these on MadebyGirl. Go there here and then go here here to Ruby's Lounge etsy to buy one of these objets d'art. They are $345 each and Worth. Every. Penny. !!! If you are planning to buy one for a certain fabulous deer lover you know (*eyelash flutter*) for Christmas, her shop is closed until after the holidays. But it's really not too early to start thinking about my your favorite deer lover's birthday.

What To Do Tonight?

Hmmmm. I have an entire evening ahead of me with nothing to do.

I've made my Obama phone calls and have annoyed most of southern PA and now I'm DEBATING whether to go to a movie or maybe just call it an early night. Like in bed at 9. Or maybe both.

Any ideas?

(As the kids say, "Psyche!")

Okay, in an effort to add some excitement to the debate (as if it will need any), I am including a link here to Palin Bingo. You can play along while drinking Moosehead and listening to the soundtrack from "Fargo."

Feel free to chime in on the "Create Your Own Bingo Card" because I think this game could be much funnier. I will start with the square "Track in Iraq".

Off to the liquor store.

Oh, a little something to tide you over until 9 pm. The 1984 Miss Alaska Swimsuit Competition, starring Miss Sarah Heath (Palin):
