Chucks and Jones for Christmas.

Converse has a really great idea for a Christmas or holiday gift for kids or teens (or me!). They can design their own pair of sneakers (hi-tops, low-tops, leather, whatever) online and send you the link and you can order them. It takes 2-4 weeks so you'll want to get a head start.

Also another cute idea for Jones soda lovers or anyone, really: A personalized photo on a case of Jones soda bottles.

I can't believe it's not too early to start thinking of these things.

OMD, I love Converse high-tops (and low tops). I have a pair in red Chinese brocade. So excited to design my own. Thanks for this!

Yeah, this is a pretty great idea. My old, worn navy Chucks appear at the office every casual Friday.

And Jones Cream Soda...MMM!

I love the Jones Soda idea. They have some creative promotions in their years. My favorite was the turkey and gray flavored soda. I was so curious was it tasted like, but couldn't find it in the stores.

Oh, egan, you have to get it. Target sells it every year.

We have a series of photos of the ridiculously disgusted faces everybody's making as they taste "Brussels sprouts soda" or "Stuffing."

It's so funny.

They also have a limited edition of Yes We Can soda on sale. :-)

Decorina - Is OMD oh my dog?

David - Cream soda, of course.

You are so organized and forward thinking! Meanwhile, I still have a melting pumpkin from Halloween outside on the patio.

Love the soda idea, and who doesn't need a new pair of Chucks?

I've designed myself a pair of low top Jack Purcells. Red on the inside, blue on the outside, with a white tongue. For personalization I put the date, 01/20/09

Excellent! You are such a patriot! I'm verklempt.

Yikes, please ignore my numerous typos in my comment. Target carries that flavor for sure? I had a tough time finding it, but couldn't get myself to buy it off Ebay.

For the past few Thanksgiving/holiday seasons, Target has sold Thanksgiving dinner in a bottle as a set of 5 or 6.

There's always turkey with gravy but the sides change.

I was at Target today and didn't see it but I wasn't looking for it either.

Egan, I just saw Turkey and Gravy on the website. But it's the personalized version. I'd call Target but it looks like it may not be available this year. Last year's had green bean casserole. Ew.

I always feel like I am wearing flippers when I put on my low tops. I can't bear the thought of getting rid of them because they are so cute, but I can't walk very well in them (though I have no problem in heels).

David that totally rocks!!! I want the Grateful Dead print; your choice of 1-20-2009 is the best idea yet!
