I went white for years and years. Not so much now, though. I need color - as the next owner of this house will attest. I'm still painting.I like that kitchen, though. Mine was avocado green and baby blue when we moved it. It was sickening. Mostly white now.
I love white, but I'm not sure I could live in it. It goes against my maximalist nature, which I am forever fighting to restrain.
As much as I am addicted to color, I find all-white rooms so peaceful. I once had an all-white bedroom and loved it.
HG, I had a brain loss on the comment moderation at Decorno too. But I subscribe to her blog at mine (see Dashboard) and got to read the first few lines of the stroller post even after it was deleted. I recommend it.

Honored.Michelle - I was going to paint my kitchen white first thing (and house for that matter) but it doesn't work everywhere.
